Marsh Hill
The £50 million Birmingham Schools 1 PFI project involves 11 schools and comprises new build and refurbishment of nursery, infant, junior, secondary and special needs facilities.
Marsh Hill, one of the new builds, used to be housed in a 1930s building where half of the children were in deteriorating, “temporary” accommodation which had been used for about 30 years. The school is now in completely new buildings.
Children, parents and staff walk in here and say ‘Wow, what a fantastic building’…We don’t have any difficulty recruiting staff and the staff who are here love the environment.
